 Computer Toolkit - Spares:
  Other Tools Toolkit
Having some spare computer parts and components in your toolbox can be useful.

Spare Components :

Screws -Screws for closing the case, mounting the computer components inside the case etc. I tend to have screws left after each computer I build from parts, so I keep them in my toolbox for jobs such as adding hard disk drives and other computer upgrades.

Washers - also known as spacers, should be fitted between the case and the motherboard. They insulate the board from the computer case. Keep a few handy in your toolbox.

Spacers - generally performing the same function as the washers (above), spacer screws insulate the motherboard from the computer case, and also offset the board the to the required position.

Jumpers - jumpers for setting up the motherboard and hard disk drives are handy to keep as spares.

Blanking plates - blanking plates for drive bays and for card slots on the back of the case are useful when upgrading and modifying computers.

Fans - spare case fans of different sizes and cpu fans and heatsinks are useful to have.

Ribbon cables - the cables that connect hard/floppy/optical disk drives to the motherboard are useful to keep if you get a spare one. They come included with many drives, so after building a computer it is likely that you will have a spare.
