Custom building your own computer saves you money and ensures you get the computer you want. If, some time later, you decide to upgrade or modify your computer, you are already familiar with it so it should be easy.
Big, reputable companies such as Dell use quality components and parts in their custom built computers, but smaller computer companies sometimes use cheap-as-chips parts and corner-cut, meaning that although you may get a cheap product, it will not necessarily be a quality one.
