Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good news everyone
Nice product! I tested it out earlier on Animal Crossing for the GameCube and then on Fatal Frame III and Metal Gear Solid 3 for the PS2. No noticeable latency, picture quality is about as good as you would get on a four year old tube TV. I have not yet tested the S-Video. PC patchthrough looks good!! I was very surprised by that. It looks like it -might- be a bit fuzzy, I may switch back to compare later, but I could definitely see using it like this. I'm on a five year old 16 inch CRT monitor with a max resolution of 1280x1024 and refresh rate of 60mhz, didn't need any converters to use it of course. As previous reviews note the poor part about this converter is the audio, but it's not so bad. I recommend this product!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - SUCKS!!!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!!!! THE PICTURE QUALITY SUCKS!! IT IS TERRIBLE!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent video-to-monitor solution
I needed a video monitor near my mythtv server to test changes in the linux-based DVR before. Unfortunately, I didn't have any extra TV screens. However, I had several 19" computer screens lying around. Hmm. If only they could be used to display s-video or composite.

A-ha! Enter this little wonder box. It's quite compact, yet extremely effective. Actually, I was not really expecting very much from it - primitive control and jerky or otherwise crummy video. NOT AT ALL.

This little gem is absolutely wonderful. It took the video I gave it without any problems, and spits out what resolution I desire. The video quality from S-Video source is quite good, and exhibits almost no inter-frame jitters. I really never would have expected it to work as well as it does, especially at its price.

The only thing I haven't really tested is a video source of poor stability -- ie, VCR. That might still cause trouble, I can't say one way or the other. But if you need video, and your source is solid, and only have a computer monitor, buy it. It's cool.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very Good
I use it on the LCD monitor for ps2 games, once you get it set up it's no big deal.

However, when performing settings it turned off on me now and then, but I got it working for good.

Several different connectors, s-video in/out,Av cable input, VGA output,Audio input as well.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - What to do with that CRT?
Turn it into a video display of course.
I replaced my old 21" Trinitron TV with a 21" NEC CRT display. This amazing little box takes the crummy composite video signal from my DVD player and bumps it up to 1024 x 768 resolution non-interlaced. Wow! No scan lines. It also takes an s-video signal but I haven't tried that yet.

It take a bit of fiddling to get the picture just right but the on-screen menus are easy to use. The picture looks slightly processed but in a good way. You will actually be able to read those tiny credits at the end of a movie. Best of all, its cheap.
