Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Owns and cheap..., enough said
I had to upgrade to a new rig really badly, almost all the games coming out I could not play and there were a few titles that I really wanted to get my hands on, so, when income tax came around, I wanted to build a new one, but, on a budget. This card did what I wanted it to do and, more importantly, didn't cost my eternal soul to get it. I did wait a little bit to get this card because I new that Nvidia was about to release their 9800 series graphics cards making the previous series drop down in price. Amazon always has the cheap prices on good quality products, so, I wasn't surprised when I did my search on the internet stores and found that I would be buying this product through amazon. The graphics card came with a collection of bundled products that I had order previously and were all in good quality shape, the 8800GTS box wasn't even remotely damaged and was really secure. Like most products I've gotten from Amazon, this one came a day earlier than expected, again, a praise on the fast shipping of Amazon's part.

As far as comparing this card to my previous, their isn't one, this card ran circles around it, even games, I THOUGHT, played well on my old 6800S (FEAR, FarCry, Condemned) played so smoothly with this one that I had motion sickness for about two days, only one game has done that to me and that was URU. The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion plays with all the eye candy on and at the highest resolutions possible without any lag or stuttering even when you are riding at full speed on the fastest horse through the dense thick forests of Cyrodil. BioShock, a recent game I purchased, ran at its fullest strength as well and went ever so smoothly (and looked better than the XBox 360 Version). So far, this card has played ever game I've thrown at it save for one..., and yes, that is Crysis, the Single Player Demo, but, it doesn't look poor, you can still play it with decent frame-rates above 40FPS mostly with high detail on, some AA on and at 1280x800. You can play full res and no AA if thats your thing, I did.

I think the best part about this, is that, this card is so cheap that you could, theoretically, get two and SLI them together, which, is something I will do maybe if a game comes along that I really like and can't play as it was meant to be played (which, I don't see that happening really soon). But by itself, the EVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS 320 MB PCIe Video Card will own any game that you throw at it and doesn't get burned doing so. Another good product for a budget build.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - High end card priced at midrange
I bought my 8800GTS 320MB at an unveliebable price of USD$129. You can run every game you want on high on 1280x1024, best of all this card is GREAT OVERCLOCKER! I have mine at GTX speeds 575Mhz core 1350 Shaders and 1900Mhz mem. The card does not break a sweat with these settings and hardly heats up to 70 degrees celsius.

I am sure it can be overclocked a lot more considering it idles at 60 degrees. I currently play Call of duty 4, call of duty 2, Doom3 (on ultra!), and some racing games like flatout 2, and need for speed most wanted that look just astonishing! A recommended buy for those who do not want to invest their money on the 9600GT. At stock speeds, the 9600 GT outperforms this card, but when you crank up the clocks on this baby it can easily beat the 9600. Now I'm going to get Crysis and enjoy the full fledged experience of next generation games!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great bang for buck @ $129 but it's a HUGE card
I just installed this into my Dell Dimension 5150. Originally I had a Radeon X300 card PCIe card. When I opened my system, I looked at the new card and knew there'd be a problem. To get it to fit I had to remove the video card's retaining bracket (the piece that you screw the card to the case). I'm hoping the tension of the card's connector in the socket on my motherboard will be enough to hold it in place, but there's not much room for the card to move around anyway. The second thing I had to do was remove the plastic housing holding the CPU heatsink in place and break off about a third of it so the card could fit. I know that it would be a better idea to get a larger case but I am really cheap and wanted a couple quick upgrades (this card for $130 and a couple gb of ram for $50) so that I could play Oblivion, Mass Effect, and maybe a couple of other Xbox 360 ports instead of spending over twice as much for the system.

Otherwise, the card runs great. I can run all the games I want according to yougamers.com (although I haven't installed any yet). The 4 stars instead of the 5 is for the gigantomousness of the card, although it appears that most cards in this class are behemothlike.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - My computer can now cook omlettes while I play!
Amazing video card, I am howver having to upgrade my system cooling. This card runs (Idle) at 75c and under load at well over 80c. It maintains stability, but is so hot! I would still recomend this card to anyone that wants great graffics at a low price. (The money you save will be spent on cool LED Fans, and mesh windows to lower your ambient temperature) Lol.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Totally A++ video card
Great piece of card, totally recommended for those who desire great graphics quality for a reasonable price!!!
