Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Works only with additional software
This device works, but the only way I got it to work is by downloading the software from the main web-site for this item and using the trial. To buy the full software it is about $30 and there are other adapters that are plug and play that cost less than $30.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works Like a Charm!!!
This item works like a charm. You wouldnt expect it to work correctly because its to small and cheap, but you just plug it in and {windows} will find it witout a hitch. It lost communication 1 time, but just unplugged it and replugged it in and bam! It worked again. Highly recomended. C

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - If you're just gonna use them in 1 room, go for it!
I bought this bluetooth adapter for the same reason you might of: it's dirt cheap. Well, for being dirt cheap, it's not that bad. The only problem is the range. If I'm listening to music from my PC (which is in my room) and I walk out to the kitchen, I lose signal. They're advertising 100M of range, but it's really more like 10 feet. If you're like me, and just need bluetooth in 1 room, not thorough your entire house, then by all means, buy this little adapter. Oh, and the software that comes with it is really easy to use, and it quickly finds bluetooth-enabled cell phones, MP3 players, headphones, etc.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Doesn't support My Bluetooth Places
Only good for basic bluetooth operation. The drivers don't support My Bluetooth places which limits usage with Palm type devices.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - If you need bluetooth for frequent use, don't buy this item.
Okay, so bluetooth works using short range radio. Let me put the emphasis on -short-. 100 meters? Yeah, right. At three feet away from my computer, my headset starts crackling. The software that comes with this piece is out of date, and if you want to buy it, it's about 40, 50 bucks?

All in all, if you really care about bluetooth and want to do, say, high capacity data transfers, stop being so cheap. Get something better quality for more money and maybe you'll get results.
