Electronics : Lexar Sport JDSP256-231 USB 2.0 256 MB USB Flash Drive (Retail Package) |
|
Rating: - Excellent little drive
I have three of these now...they work great! I've used them to transport data files and for MP3 files. I have the Lexar Sport MP3 player that uses these USB drives for storing the MP3 files.
I did have one new drive that had a problem where the MP3 player "forgot" that the USB drive was in place. It was as if I had pulled the drive out of the player without shutting it off. Re-seating the drive fixed that problem and I have not seen that problem since. Maybe it was a fluke.
Getting it out of the packaging is a challenge, though.

I have had the Lexar sport drive for 2 years and loved it. easy to use and worked like a charm until a few months ago, when I began to get messages that told me the drive was full. Deleting files didn't help and I finally realized that instead of 256 MB of memory, I had about 32 KB. So something happened along the way and the drive is now useless. I would not recommend this product.
Rating: - Real Nice...
I had this over 2 years now.. I and it is used with all my keys and I do use without any "proper care" I might say, and I am very pleased with it....
As for the indication of light on it, yes..
It has a tiny light, but it does not creat a big problem...
And you have to decide if you want your flash drive around your neck (not the case with this one) or with your keychain...
I give it a Great "GO FOR IT" with this one, since it has been serving me well...
I take it to my swimming practice table, which means it gets wet everytime I get out of the pool and pick the keys up in order to leave to the locker room, and never had a problem with it...
Sport yes.. Not extreme... Of course...
I am looking for a bigger size now... Of the same model...
You will definatelly like this one...
:-)
Rating: - Works fine but not "Sport"
I bought this drive primarily to keep on my keychain and because the cap wrapped around the body and I would not have to worry abut loosing caps. This worked well for about 2 months when, after the normal wear and tear of taking my keys out of my pocket, the cap popped at the point that conects to the key ring. I say popped not broke because the cap is made out of rubber-like material that I now realise is a glorified rubber band. Sport indeed. I had to resort to keeping the drive loose in my pockets, have long since lost the fragile thing, and am now wishing I had the frustration of loosing caps for a drive that is sucurely attached to my key ring.
Rating: - Nice piece of equipment
I have had this Lexar Sport flash drive for about a year and use it at least a few times of week. It floats around in the bottom of my briefcase, getting pounded by power adapters and other junk that I tote around. I have never had any problems with it - instant recognition on any computer, fast transfers, easy to use. I like the rubber cover because it stays on unlike the caps on other flash drives. I have had other flash drives but this one is a keeper. I wish they made a 1 (or more!) Gig drive just like it. I'm actually here now just to buy a few of these as gifts for friends, I like it that well.
