Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - great wireless keyboard bundle; transition product.
As a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, I expect to be able to use my keyboard device away from my desk (on the couch, while wathing TV). It is inconvenient to grapple with the keboard and a useless mouse simultaneously while relaxing on the couch. Logitech should introduce a truly integrated mouse + keyboard bundle that is wireless with IR &/or RF capability to interact with media servers &/or thin clients located near an individual's Plasma/LCD TV. Highly recommend the MX Duo for the Desktop to reduce wire clutter. No connectivity problems.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Combo
This is the best mouse and keyboard set I have ever owned. The mouse is at least 2 times more precise than my microsoft optical. This gives me much better movement, and accuracy. Plus the mouse is picthed at a much better angle than others, allowing you to use it a lot longer unlike other brands that make your wrist ache. The keyboard functions and looks great too. The range is awesome, and the rechargable mouse saves time, aggrevation and money. My only dissapointment is that the mouse does not have some of the standard button signatures, meaning some games won't recognize the alternate buttons. Other than that there can be nothing negative said about this product, its a joy to use.

Update-

For those gamers out there. To make this mouse function with all games, just set the mouse to a standard ps2 mouse. This should allow you access to all of the buttons, except for the switch programs button. Of course by doing this you are not getting the support of the automated features logitech includes. But the feel, precision, and long battery life/recharge should be enough to make the switch.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - super
I received the MX Duo as a gift to use with my laptop-and i think it is wonderful!!!!!!!!i have had problems with other mouses, but so far this one is great and i am very satisfied with it. CJ

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Only one snag
I've only been using the keyboard and mouse for a couple of days, but am pretty happy so far. My MX 700 isn't having any trouble on a semi-glossy table top and the range is nice. So far, the only problems have been these:

1. After installing software from included CD-ROM, mouse stopped working (I assume an issue with microsoft mouse driver or old mouseware compatibility, not sure). I restored my setting and downloaded the newest mouseware from logitech indivually and it worked fine.

2. F11 and F12 keys are supposed to go to "My Pictures," and "My Music" respectively, but they are instead linked to "Owner's Pictures," and "Owner's Music." Running XP with different users, I want the F11 and F12 keys to be user specific. I have contacted Logitech and will update if the problem is solved (I have downloaded the most recent i-Touch software).

Overall, a very nice product so far. Even if the F11/F12 doesn't straighten out, I would probably only drop to 4 1/2 stars. Nice design and functionality. The mouse is ultra usable in that all 8 buttons are useful.

*****UPDATE--Problem worked out. Under configure for F key, had to choose "open folder" and another pull-down appears to let you browse what you would like to link to an F key. Also, logitech customer service was surprisingly friendly and useful.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Keyboard OK, Mouse Sucks
I can't say I was with the Logitech MX duo for a long time, I only had an evening with it, but I was ready to send it back that same night. What a disappointment. I thought we were going to get along beautifully together. A beautiful design, lots of nifty keys, cordless, with a scroll wheel. Once I got the keyboard to work, I was very happy with it. It was straightforward, reliable, and I saw no lag time in the typing. However, the mouse sent me screaming back to my old reliable mechanical mouse with no wheel, and crud on the ball and all. Why? The MX700 skips and skips. Goes north when you want it to go south etc. Perhaps it was my lack of expertise, but I have used other optical cordless mouses at friends' houses, and got used to them immediately. The complete lack of accuracy was mindboggling. I just couldn't believe it was the mouse and not me, but working with it for hours didn't change the lack of accuracy. Believe me, I am used to using all sorts of different equipment at school, at work, home, and at friends, so I don't think it was due to me being overly used to one thing. I'm sorry to give it a bad review. I'm sure the good people at Logitech meant to put out a good product.
