Rating: - 3 Years of Great Use and Counting
I've owned this bag for over three years now and couldn't be happier with it. It holds a very large amount and I really like the way things are split up inside the bag. It holds all of my computer related equipment while leaving plenty of space for anything else I need to carry. I've gone on a number of trips where this is the only bag I take and I've never had a problem taking it carry-on (it usually fits under the seat in front of me without taking up too much foot space). Currently I take it back and forth to work daily and I love having a place to store anything I need to take with me.
Pros:
- Well made... has stood up to 3yrs of day to day use with no problem.
- Holds a ton.
- Lots of pockets for things of various sizes.
- Separate pocket for a laptop
Cons:
- A little on the large side. The side pockets stick out a bit when full.
- When the bag is full, it becomes quite heavy. One review mentioned that it makes you feel like you're "going off to war"... that is accurate.
- Not very professional looking (if that's something that concerns you).
Overall, I've been thrilled with the purchase. When I bought it, it cost $75. It was money well spent.
Rating: - Has pros and Cons
Pros- Its good, Strong bag, Can be used roughly and carries a lot of stuff..
Cons- not much sections in bag where you can place stuff which is needed frequently. Eg. i travel by train so i keep my monthly pass in the bag . I expected an easy to access section where i can keep the pass. Side pockets are good but not that useful.
Overall. A good decent bag .. am happy with my purchase ..
Rating: - Great backpack but weak clasp
This backpack is one of the best of the laptop backpacks. I'm happy with mine. The only draw back is that the main clasp teeth are weak.
The light colored patches of fabric are darker than the picture shows.
Pros: Very sturdy your laptop will be safe in this bag. Very good back padding so your laptop doesn't slap against your back. Tons of pockets. Sturdy top handle. Removable cell phone holder on shoulder strap.
Con: No place for a lock on the zippers. Doesn't say if it is rain proof. Like someone said before this the clasp looks like it would break very easily. No pencil holder. It is a long backpack and kind of stiff.
Rating: - Great Product
This is another great product from Targus. The bag is very roomy and durable. It is great for carrying and protecting your laptop and book. I was skeptical when buying, because everyone said how big it is and I am a smaller guy. It really isn't that big though. You need it to be a decent size just to carry your laptop.
The only thing that I have bad to say about the bag is that it is heavy. It all depends on what you put it in though and as an IT Professional I have it loaded.
Rating: - Can't Stand Up to Real World Student Use
After just 6 months of use - three of which were summer vacation! - by a high school student, this packpack is literally falling apart. Neither the zippers nor the stitching are heavy-duty enough to survive a typical high school course load. If you or your student needs a large capacity, heavy duty computer backpack, keep looking; this one just doens't stand up.
