Rating: - Griffin iMic -- Easy to work with
I had been looking every where for a solution for copying my albums into a digital format. I have a Mac, so I just plugged this into the turntable and into the USB port. I followed the instructions and was recording within a few minutes. The results are fantastic. I already had a good turntable so this was the best solution! I can even record my guitar straight into my computer with the iMic.
Rating: - Plug-and-Play Mic Input
I originally picked up the iMic so that I could use a microphone headset with my G5. It has worked perfectly since. It was simply plug-and-play for me, no fuss, no muss. It looks like it's more expensive now than when I purchased it, but at the time, it was a fairly inexpensive way to get decent mic functionality on a Mac.
It does also work on a PC, though I haven't really done much experimentation with it. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a way to get a mic to work with a computer that doesn't have a built-in mic port.
Rating: - not what I thot it was
This product does not do what i wanted it to, so it doesn;t do me any good, I didn't know how to return it.
Thanks Helen Newbanks
Rating: - Works Perfect for Ripping Vinyl
I bought this product to rip vinyl with my Numark portable turntable, my ibook G4, and the Audacity software. I'm very happy with the results. I couldn't do it without the imic, because I don't have an input jack on my laptop.
Rating: - It doesn't work on Vista
I just bought this and it won't work on my machine. I searched the Griffin site and it said that the device doesn't work on Vista. Of course, neither the box nor any of the online advertising mentions this. I guess it sucks to be me.
