Rating:  - Applecare and printer support
I used the service a few days after receiving it and was gratified by the ease of using and accessing the computer support for a Time Capsule printer server software problem. This contrasts greatly with using customer support for other operating systems and software.
Rating: - well worth buying
I've had my macbook for almost three years now and I'm incredibly glad that I had the applecare protection. Whenever there's an issue I just take it over to the local apple reseller and they fix the problem or send it to Apple to fix at no cost and no hassle to me. I don't want to have to use it for my iMac, but I would rather have this protection than not.

I generally don't purchase product insurance but decided to get this since I wanted more "hand holding" since I was a recent convert from Windows to an iMac. Registering the product was easy - I even messed up and didn't remember that the serial number to use is on the reciept...kept looking for it on the box. Even when I entered a wrong number, the next day when I figured out my error, Applecare had gone ahead and registered my plan! How it that for having someone there that has some intelligence! ... Rating: - Good product slow registration
I'm pleased with the extended warranty. However, I did have trouble registering the warranty. It took about 10 days before the apple website would accept my information, although it ultimately did and I now have an extended warranty.
