Rating: - A Great Keyboard with cool lights!
This is a wonderful keyboard. I've purchased it twice, the first one had a bad run in with a glass of orange juice, but that was my fault, (tragic story).
I have had absolutely no problems with it. Just plug it in, and it works. The lights are very bright, and can be adjusted to fit your brightness and color choice.
The keys are nice and crisp, and have a great "springy" feel to them. (I'm typing this review with it).
No issues what so ever with the letters ... Read More
Rating: - Awesome keyboard
The LED's aren't super bright, but it glows very lovingly in the dark. I enjoyed this purchase, I would get it if I were you.
Rating: - nice board
this keyboard is awesome. with the different color displays and the brightness control nob, it makes it nice to use in the dark. the keys them self have a griped texture to them, so they do not feel like cheap plastic. over all it is a great keyboard.
Rating: - Good ideas, cheep plastic.
The designs of this keyboard are standard.
The LED is nice.
However, the plastic they use is CHEEP. This is the only keyboard where I have actually broken the space *bar*, not the switch of the space bar, but the plastic bar itself. Oddly enough, the switch portion still worked.
So if you plan on using it a lot, expect it to eventually break on you sooner than you would normally expect.
Rating: - When the Keys Erode, Here are Two Solutions!
I've read a lot of reviews about the laser-etched keys on the Eclipse wearing off. Here are two suggestions because I had this same problem. One is a simple solution and it worked. The other is more complicated "prevention" that stops this to begin with.
1. Simple Solution: Call or email Saitek. They replaced the keys I had problems with and sent them by Fed-X. No questions asked, so this means they are getting a lot of laser-etched key issues from consumers.
