I own this router along with the D-Link WAU-2340 wireless adapter for less than one year. About 6 months ago the adapter stopped working. I dealt with folks on the west coast and had a new unit shipped to me although I had to send back the damaged one at my cost (fed ex). It just stopped working again and I have been on the phone for more than 2 hours with folks from India. Rating: - Workds Great Don't use the CD or the Pure Network App.
If you set this puppy up manually it works great. The included CD with the wizard is a waste of time. The Pure network application bundled with it is a piece of shi... you don't need to install anything. Just plug it in and use the admin page to set it up. You need to be a little technical however. I have a 12mb/s Cable connection and this little router delivers the goods at full speed no problems. The coverage is surprisingly good. Works through the whole house.
Rating: - Cheap but efficient router
I got this router today & I got it up and running in 10 minutes. Even got a password encrypted network now.
I guess it's hit or miss I don't know, but I live in Canada & it's working flawlessly thus far.
Rating: - Very Unhappy.
This little 'gem' worked beautifully. Well, it worked beautifully for three months. Now, three months later, it's just dead. Oh the lights are blinking but it still does not send the signal to my Macbook.
Worst of all is the tech support. It was honestly the worst tech support I have ever experienced. I waited forever on the phone to get through. I ended up having to speak to three people who were all difficult to understand. One of them spoke too quickly and was rude to me. Ultimately ... Read More
