I thought I loved my eee PC until I got this. The eee PC 901 has a similar configuration: Atom processor, 8.9 inch screen and 6 cell battery, similar size/weight and 1 GB RAM. But the Acer Aspire One is a lot more comfortable to use. The larger keyboard makes it feel similar to a regular keyboard and the hard drive space is nice because you can have the same files and programs that are on your regular computer. I purchased the 120 GB model from Staples. I have several laptops (Toshiba, Dell and HP) and I love this little one. It is very small to carry and the performance is not bad for the average user (Word, Excel, Internet, etc.) I miss the DVD drive, but for the price it's not bad. I am thinking of buying an external drive, although I use my wireless network at home and connect to a drive on one of the computers when I want to install additional software. Rating: - Just the Right Size with the right features
I purchased the Acer One to take on my Business Trips as my backup computer.
It is just the right size (Screen, Keyboard, etc) for using on the Airplane or just about anywhere.
The 5 hour battery life is the best feature.
I can run all my programs on Windows XP with the 160 GB hard drive for all my files.
The Acer One is changing when and where I use my computer.

I need a computer to bring from work to home everyday and want to be compact and light weight. I found this Acer Aspire One online which is priced lower than my budget (for once). I figure as long as it can manage to run Word and Excel I am OK. Three weeks ago I received it from Amazon. I am suprise not only I can run the Office; it handles Photoshop, Illustrator too. It turns on and off faster than my old VAIO. 6 cell battery last 6 hours, very well made and finish.
