Rating: - iPhone Superb Car Connection
Griffin's new RoadTrip for my iPhone 3G works extremely well. You have to searcha litteto find the right frequency to use, but having done so, I have very good performance on my daily commute with no interference whatsoever. The mounting is great as well. Could be a little longer neck, but great overall.

Purchased two of these as Christmas presents for my college-age kids to use their iphones in their vehicles. One initially seemed to have a bad transmitter but after reading the instruction manual and changing the mode from stereo to mono it has worked great.
Rating: - FM Transmitter quality dismal, but other features great
I use this gear with a cassette adapter -- I don't even use the FM Transmitter function, as its quality/clarity/reliability is just unacceptable (and, this is hardly a metro area). It has a nice 3.5mm jack for the cassette to plug into, while its stylish mounting, charging, and hardware button capabilities complete my setup. It also decreases the amount of GSM interference normally caused by using a cassette tape adapter, by distancing the 3.5mm plug away from the phone itself.
Rating: - Works great
Works with iPhone 3g (pins changed, so old chargers won't work). Broadcasts well i feel for an FM transmitter as most are useless (but see not on European stations, haven't tried that yet but still happy) - even worked from back seat charger of an X5. Holds iPhone well, but if your cigarette lighter is in an odd position you might have issues with it.
Rating: - Poor FM performance
Sorry for the two stars. I do like and use the RoadTrip as a charging stand in my car but the performance of the FM transmitter is so poor that I have taken to plugging my cassette tape adapter into the speaker jack instead. There are three FM presets. I can't find three frequencies that will get me through my 30 minute commute. For a lot less money and a little bit more effort each day I could have gotten a suction cup to hold the iPhone where I can see it.
