I purchased the Gateway FHD2400 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor almost a year ago and have enjoyed it without any issues. I don't know the difference between this model and the FHD2401, but I wouldn't imagine that they are significantly different. I work as a software engineer, so I spend upwards of 10+ hours at a time staring at its screen with no eye fatigue to speak of... the screen's brightness takes some getting use to if you are upgrading from an older CRT-based monitor as I was. Just got this monitor and so far I'm very impressed. As a professional software engineer and digital artist, I'm extremely demanding and picky about my monitors. If I'm going to be looking at it for hours and hours a day, it better be very good.

Rating: - great price for what you get
the highly glossy screen DOES create some contrast issues. it looks the brightest if viewed from a higher angle than where the monitor rests. if you have a workspace set up to lower the monitor, all of the extra contrast seems to vanish.
i have found that the contrast can work in my favor if calibrated. Games like Crysis at 1920 (settings:very high) look amazing. The Colours and brightness of this monitor cannot be matched at price.

I liked the look of this monitor in the store, although I wasn't too sure about the glossy finish. I was hooked on the Picture-in-Picture though. Unfortunately I wasn't thorough enough before buying, and the monitor has color issues, when it is on my desk my eyes are level with a point about 1/4 the way from the bottom of the screen and about 2 feet away. Had read a lot of great reviews of the Gateway 2400 24 inch monitor. Mistakenly thought this was a newer version of that monitor that would be even better.
This monitor has a glossy and reflective screen. Some may like this aspect but I personally prefer the matte finish of monitors.
