K48 was announced in June as a follow-up to the wonderful K45, which had been a great success due to its small size, low price and amazing energy efficiency. There are basically three meaningful changes: the addition of a 5 1/2" bay for an internal DVD drive, the addition of a DVI outlet and finally a slightly larger case to accommodate the DVD drive.
