The Lexmark x2690 apparently has no ink. I too tried Office Depot without success...I went to the website and it has been discontinued and no information about what to do next...avoid this at all costs.

This printer is an INK GUZZLER. You can only buy ink from Lexmark or Circuit City. $30 for both color and black and the ink drains before you know it. Not cost effective even if I got the printer for free... I guess that's where they get you.
Rating: - Lexmark falls short in many ways.
The printer comes packaged with no Black ink cartridge. They tell you that you can buy this separately. All color prints come out looking washed out due to the lack of black ink. It comes with no USB cord, you will have to buy your own. It takes cartridge numbers 4 and 5 for the ink. I was directed to Staples and CircuitCity, neither had those cartridge numbers. The supplied color cartridge runs out real fast, I mean real fast. It lasted only about three weeks, probably less than 30 prints. ... Read More
