Rating: - Mobil Me Families
Mobile me Rocks. Although most of what I wanted to do I could have done with a single unit, I used the family pack to give one to my brother and one to my sister to use in their families. The sharing of the calendar and contacts is great within the family. And since we all use different computers some apple some dell it makes them all share this stuff together. Its just what we needed.
Rating: - Mobile Me: The best web-based set of apps out there
I've been a .mac owner for years, and the transition to Mobile Me went very smooth. Mobile Me is a HUGE upgrade from the days of .mac. The website interface is very slick, and has a lot of very cool features. If you own a Mac - buy this. If you own an iPhone - buy this. I know there were some people who signed up back in July during the transition, that didn't have as much luck. This was a very small group of users, and Apple gave them months upon months of free Mobile Me usage. Mobile Me is great, ... Read More
Rating: - Dear God, what a mess...
Mobile Me is a total mess. I would recommend that anyone who is thinking about using it or puchasing it have their head checked. And after the response from Apple, that goes for all Apple products.
In the conversion from .mac to Mobile Me, all of my contacts were lost. Five years worth. Of course, Apple Support told me it was my fault. (Never mind that I was paying them to keep my data safe on their servers, with promises from them of stability). The consolation? Three free months of Mobile ... Read More
Rating: - Pretty good deal
Mobile me is an interesting service if you use all the features. It does not do any one the great.. but does most of them well. Look into each feature in detail before you buy. Many of the features can be done on free sites as well or better.
Rating: - Everything in Sync!!!
It was a difficult transition, but everything is working great now. I like not having to enter names or calendar info more than once. The syncing features are improving on a daily basis. Being able to enter a name or date into any of my devices, and it be available on any of my other devices is a cool feature. I've had .Mac since 2001 and can honestly say that the only interruption in email service for me was during the mobileMe transition. Those interruptions are a thing of the past, and in the unlikely ... Read More
