The dilemma with any iPhone protector is making it work for the variety of circumstances you want to use the phone for. Holsters, while keeping your phone readily accessible, don't prevent scratches when you take the iPhone out. Rubber cases, while providing protection, tend to prevent the iPhone from fitting in a dock.

Installing this shield is almost impossible to get done without streaks and bubbles. Luckily I started on the back, as the balance of the shield went straight to the garbage. Don't waste your money.
Rating: - Not very hard to install, but...
It does leave a definite orange peel affect on your screen. That I can deal with though, because the film is so thick that I expected as much. The sheild may not scratch (mine hasn't yet), but it does get stretch marks on the screen. Not much better than scratches IMO. The film also has a tendency to stick to your skin a bit at times, not much...but just enough to be annoying. I have to admit, when I opened the box I was a little suprised and puzzled. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I sat down, read the instructions for applying the shield (I NEVER read instructions but for this, I had to...this is not something you can rush through). It took me a few attempts and a few (ok... many) cuss words to get the shield on straight. Nothing can beat this one for size (adds nothing to the phone) and grip (makes the phone a pleasant rubber texture that is very easy to hold). I also like how it covered a lot of the micro scratches that were already on my phone when I got it.
It is not easy to put on, however. You really need to take your time and be very careful. The back, especially, is tricky. In addition, unless you are extremely careful, you will get slight ripples in the rubber. I don't find them disturbing at all, ... Read More
