Rating: - Tough setup
Well 4 hours into the setup process I finally got this thing up and running, and that was without draft n speeds, just g. First problem is that the software didn't immediately load up from the installation disk. I am running windows vista and have had for over a year, so I'm used to the compatibility issues, but would have thought that wouldn't be an issue now. I had to access the setup from my file directory and then I made the mistake of installing net-magic which didn't help either. In hindsight ... Read More

Arrived in timely manner. Set-up was troublesome. Took 3 calls for tech support. Updating the firmware solved the problem, and it is working fine now.
Rating: - SecureSpot Parental Controls are excellent
I bought this router for one reason and one reason only - the SecureSpot parental controls. By putting 1st class surf control features in the router you eliminate the need to install and maintain controls on each individual computer. But the real reason I bought it was that my kid is getting an IPOD touch for XMAS and there is no way to implement parental controls on non-standard wi-fi capable device without doing it at the router. The IPOD Safari browser offers a pretty good surfing experience and I didn't ... Read More
Rating: - You have to choose between 2.5GHZ and 5 GHZ, not truly dual band. A good price point for a N band router.
D-Link routers usually offer more for less money than the competition.
However, with this router you will get the best performance if you can choose the 5GHz band with your 802.11N device. If you choose the 2.5GHz band - and you'll have to do this if you have even one device that is 802.11G or 2.5GHz N-band - it will give you just average performance.
The set up is pretty easy with the included CD, although it does take time to set up a new router now that most of us have so many ... Read More
Rating: - Affordable Dual N router
I purchased this router in order to connect at a faster wireless speed to two Linksys Windows Media Extender devices (required to effectively transfer HD content). Setup was easy, and guides you through either first time installation or conversion from another wireless router. Connectivity is pretty good, though I haven't connected wirelessly to it yet via my laptop; it's stationary at the moment serving as the Windows Media Center connected via ethernet cable.
It's serving it's purpose at the moment ... Read More
