I have used my Griffin iphone 3G wave case for going on 6 months, and love it. I have probably dropped my phone on the pavement from "purse height" 10 times, and onto the floorboard of my car 100 times and have avoided any damage whatsoever to my phone. (I have several friends who used no case, who are on their 3rd iphone in that same 6 months, having dropped and cracked the screen from a 12-18 inch fall onto a hard surface --a case for the iphone is a MUST). Rating: - Great(!) case - don't listen to the detractors
I was nervous to buy this case because of the negative reviews on here. But I gambled on the positives and have not been disappointed.
Pluses:
- Great looking case, the Wave design is cool looking. I also like that the back is semitransparent so you can see the apple logo.
- Fits the iPhone tightly, not sure what the issue is with people not being able to put it together right. Just follow the instructions, and it fits perfectly.

when i first saw the Griffin wave, i thought it was a great and sleek case. i read a few reviews about the fit issue, but knowing someone with it, i knew it was just a matter of adjusting and getting the case to lock properly. the biggest problem i encountered was that the silicone on the case itself that gave it the grip started to chip after 2 days of use. probably from moisture. after a week the case looked disgusting and cheap from the silicone chipping away. what a disappointment. i bought the pink ... This is a great case as long as you do NOT use the included screen protector. Go out and get yourself an anti-glare screen protector and put that on first. Then put the case on. Make sure you put the case on correctly! I have seen so many people use this case incorrectly. If the flaps are not tucked over and under the proper places, of course it's going to look funny.

Positives- Its a great looking case. I love the feel and texture of it. Best looking case out there in my opinion and also comes with a clear film to protect the screen
Negatives- Putting on the film and case at the same time is a very difficult and tedious task. Unless you have your own screen protector, the process may take a while since the film isnt sticky.
