I Trust two companies to buy laptops from: 1. Apple 2. ACER. I have a home office and need two laptops, one with Vista and one with OS X 10.5 Leopard. When I went to but a copy of XP to add to my Macbook Pro (*****) using parallels or dual boot I noticed that This Acer laptop (well an Acer laptop nearly the same as this one) was 200 dollars more than a copy of XP so I did the logical thing and bought the laptop instead. We bought 3 of the "Acer Aspire 5315" laptops, 2 for my teenage kids and one for my mother.
Here are my observations:
* My kids love the laptop and have no problem using the mouse touch pad, but my mother can not seem to figure it out (we ended up buying everyone Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 Mac/Win USB).
