I found this drive to be very useful in the following ways,
1) You can transport it from one PC to another without disassembling the PC.
2) It is perfect for an HTPC. It allows you to only have the drive on the entertainment center while the PC is hidden from view. You can use a 15 ft USB cable (not included) to place the the drive and media center remote IR/RF receiver in plain view, while the computer is hidden far away.
