Product DescriptionBFG Tech® has taken a whole new approach to computer power supplies with the ES Series. Most power supplies are inefficient at lower loads, making it difficult to plan for future expansion while maintaining a green initiative.
By using Frequency Conversion technology, the ES power supply can actually emulate virtually any size power supply and therefore be at least 80% efficient, even with loads as low as 10% of the unit's maximum capability. ES power supplies have the lowest minimum load requirements and the best +5VSB efficiency on the market. BFG Tech® uses all Japanese made capacitors for longer life and gold-plated pins for improved conductivity.

Supports the latest Intel® and AMD® based platforms requiring 24-Pin motherboard and 4-Pin or 8-Pin 12V connectors. With the 20+4-Pin motherboard connector, it is also backward compatible with previous ATX standards.

The BFG ES-800 has not only met my expectations as a sturdy SLI-capable power supply, but has also exceeded them. BFG has what can only be described as a winner on their hands with the ES-800 PSU. Rating: - Very good product
This power supply is reasonably priced and works great. It powers my 8800 GT without a glitch. I also have 3 hard drives (2 in a mirror), burner, and a Crosshair motherboard all this works fine without a problem.
There are enough connectors to go around for the modern gaming rig and for the legacy or modern hard drive user.
