There's no doubt that there are better printers out there, but none for this price.
The photo prints that I've made seem a little saturated and dark, but that's compared to the laptop LCD screen which is back-lit. Also it appears there are ways of adjusting the color balance but I haven't bothered, mostly because I like the look of most of the pictures that I've printed. I ordered the printer from Amazon; shipped and rec'd in good time and condition. Directions to setup simple and straight forward.
Thought I was done. Started back to work, printed some docs with some color diagrams. Particularly the imagery was blury, almost as if they had shadows. Uhg, open and read manual; no help. So far so good,no complaints.When I first set it up, it took a LONG time before it was ready & the program was loaded. once the connection to the computer was lost for some wierd reason. I checked all of the cables but it had nothing ot do with it, so I turn it off & restarted it.that seemed to solve the problem. other than that the print quality is great, very quiet. PROS: low price, prints sharp and clean, quiet printing.
CONS: won't handle all paper stock. Warm-up time is 1-2 minutes.
I bought this printer to replace my 14 year old Hp LJ 4MP. I assumed the CP1215 would be capable of doing the same things my old one did and more in color.

Out of the box, set up was a piece of cake. Installation a breeze. Big difference between my Deskjet and Laser - wow! Prints are quick and color is exceptional. Amazon's Price made it possible for me to own a laser printer - thank you Amazon. Delivery was very, very fast.
