This is my fourth Toshiba laptop, and I have always found them to be stable and hard-working machines. They are reliable and I've never had a single hardware problem in 6 years. That said, Toshibas are usually weighty and can be slower than comparable laptops. This time around, I needed more speed and better graphics, and chose the 17" X205-SLI5. Rating: - A "luggable" desktop replacement
My daily driver is a tiny VAIO TXN17P - I really like it - it is my fifth in the 10.25 inch screen series - I treat it like a blackberry - it goes everywhere with me - it is lightweight.
And that is also its problem - just short of the performance I need for some creative work.

This is mi 4th laptop. First one was Toshiba then test with Dell two times and now i am happy with this Toshiba Satellite, excelent!!!... If you use a 2nd Monitor, then buy the same model but smaller!!!

I could not be more pleased with my new Toshiba Satellite x205-SLI6 laptop. It is very fast, and way faster than I had expected for a laptop. In fact, it is much faster than my 3.2 GHz single core desktop. This laptop runs Windows Vista Ultimate flawlessly. As for gaming, I ran Call of Duty 4 and Oblivion on the highest settings, and ran Crysis on medium settings--all three looked and played great.
