Rating: - Good for Awhile But Great Warranty Thankfully
This price for such a good power supply is nice. Though I am not sure if it would supply enough power to dual cards as it says. The modular cables supplied are nice as well and make for an all around cleaner case. This power supply was a five star purchase when I bought it but about six or so months later my computer shut off and there was a really bad smell coming from the power supply. I never really did anything to awfully hard on it in fact I really didn't need that much power except for ... Read More
Rating: - Solid component, but not for a wimpy case...
This power supply is built like a tank. Both the PSU itself and the modular cables are of top quality. The PSU fan is oversized and very quiet. At 1000W, this power supply should be big enough to do anything except maybe tri-SLI with top of the line video cards.
Two potential problems to look for before buying:
- One is that this PSU is longer than the usual ATX power supply. In my Cooler Master mid-tower case, I had to drill extra ventilation holes in my case's floor ... Read More
Rating: - Subtle, but nice features for the windowed computer.
Only having the power supply for less than a year I can't really go into a testimony on how reliable it is yet, but feeling compelled by its quality, I can say that its features are nice.
The most obvious one is the detachable cords. In stead of having multi-colored robot octopi dangling everywhere you'll get a nice nylon bag filled with its power cords that you can plug into the supply one at a time until you have what you need. For someone who lights their windowed case this is a huge ... Read More
Rating: - Buyer Beware
Had this PSU in an older non demanding computer until my newest B.A. computer was finished being built. It took only two days in my 300 watt max demanding computer to kill this thing. I had high hopes for it considering it was Cosair, hopefully the one I get back from my RMA will be problem free.
Rating: - Whisper quiet
Before this power supply I was using an Enermax Liberty ELT620AWT 620W ATX 12V V2.2 Power Supply. It was pretty good. Very consistent, quiet, powerful, modular... Pretty much all I was looking for in a PSU.
But after this upgrade/downgrade (I consider it an upgrade despite losing 100W of power because for my use-case, I benefit more out of the new Corsair)... Anyway, I thought it was a great buy! The power supply is NOTICEABLY quieter than my prior PSU. It's so quiet that I can hear ... Read More
