My computer didn't have an airport card so I ordered this. It took about 2 minutes to get it working. The connection works well and I'm happy with the speeds. When my computer is in sleep mode it loses the connection. I think it's a problem with my settings. I've only had it connected for a couple of hours, so I'll figure it out.

I ordered this for use as backup to the built-in Airport in my MacPro. I ran into couple of problems with the unit after installing it: even though the signal was very strong, the unit got massive amount of collision errors causing the web pages to display very slow and sluggish. After a call to their support, I was referred to their Engineering support since Tech support can't help. After couple of email exchanges, I was sent a new driver for the unit. I'm totally satisfied with this product. It greatly extends the range and signal strength of wireless signals. It worked immediately upon installation, the directions for which were perfectly clear. This was in contrast to a competitor's unit I had purchased previously and returned.

I ordered this for my wife's iMac, which can't upgraded to 802.11n internal (airPort) wireless adaptor. I connected the HWUN1A and installed the supplied software and it worked right away. The only drawback was that when the machine was restarted at a later date it didn't connect to the network automatically. I think that I have fixed this by adding a profile for our home network in the software provided with the product.
