Rating:  - It's pretty good, but lots of bugs
I didn't feel as though I had any choice in buying this software. I don't see a lot of other programs that offer the same capabilities in bookkeeping and payroll. But I can't say I am all that thrilled with it. In particular, I keep getting weird pop up windows saying windows is compacting the message store, whatever that means. There are a few other weird bugs too, like it crashes when trying to save as PDF or export to email.

I have been extremely disappointed with the new version of Quick-Books Pro 2008 w/payroll. Initially I had problems installing the tax tables due to the firewall protection from Windows XP and had to call for tech support. I was on the phone with a tech from the Phillipines for over 1 1/2 hrs. to make sure the tax tables downloaded correctly. I ordered the disc so I wouldn't have to rely on downloading a chip but due to the constant changes that Quickbooks makes it is not possible to get a current ... Read More
