If you're looking for a cheap dvd player, this is it. Upconverting on this unit is good and keeps up with the action (no blur).

A good DVD player, and very easy to use; I used the HDMI capability to connect the player with an hdtv and playing movies was no problem. To summarize, a good machine at a decent price

I bought this product because the SD-4000 was no longer available at BestBuy, and i was told by an associate that the 4100 did not play DIVX. I specifcaly bought the SD-4000 about a year ago strictly for the fact that it would play all my.AVI files that i burn to CD-R. I absoulutley LOVE this feature. When i wanted a second one, i was forced into buying this one. I have a SONY Bravia 40" Widescreen LCD and am waiting for the HDMI cable to show up in the mail any day now. Had this machine for four months (30 days past the warranty deadline) when the tray started acting up - it doesn't stay out, giving you a bare moment to remove or add a DVD before retracting again. A month or so later it started giving errors and ceased playback of home-burned movies altogether.
This was my first experience with Toshiba - and my last.

I had this DVD player for three weeks before it started freeze framing and sending error messages. My friend has had the same model DVD player for three months and his is starting to give error messages too. Don't waste your time or money. The customer service isn't much help either. I'm switching to another brand.
