Rating: - Most bang for your buck
I've had this TV since May 08' and I've been very impressed. I use it for everything: TV, Blu-Ray Movies, Games, extended computer screen, etc... Only thing better would be 120Hz, but I've compared it to those screens and see very little difference. The colors are bright, the picture is sharp, and Toshiba is a great name in home electronics. Rating: - Awesome picture!
The tv was rated one of the top 42' LCD's on consumer reports and it is definitely living up to that! As for sound we have a surround sound system so we can't say much about the tv sound. If you can get this tv for under 1K I say go for it! Very easy to set up and all you need is a digital receiver to get the channels which is only $1 more a month than the regular receiver.

i got this tv at a local long-time dealer (since 1949) AND IT IS a nice looking set. however, I am having problems with it knocking out part of the sound during shows. sometimes it gets so bad, i have to turn it off for 10 min. and let it cool off. today i got a new part for the problem and guess, what, the problem is still there. i am going to have dealer take it back and get a Sony.
