Rating: - Great DVD Software, Once Installed! Recommended!
"WinDVD 9" really is a fantastic, feature rich DVD and video playback software package, once you get it installed on a good computer. Here are my observations:
First the good -
* Picture clarity is simply amazing! The "upscaling" on standard DVDs shocked me at how much better the picture looked
* Fantastic features for laptop users, like "TimeStretch", allow for optimal performance
* Using the controls are easy with the intuitive user interface

Rating: - If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It
I bought this product because my new computer runs on Vista and I was having trouble with WinDVD 7.0. But somewhere between 7.0 and 9.0, Corel bought the program from Intervideo, and then they made changes to "improve" it. Not. This isn't the first time Corel has done this. They took Picture Publisher and ruined that, too. Leave us alone, Corel!
