I am a professional photographer and use 3 Viewsonic LCD monitors for my office and production. Recently I added a computer to my setup and needed a more color and luminence accurate monitor. Being a Viewsonic fan and very satisfied with my previous VP930b LCD monitor I picked VP2250 to add to new computer. Rating: - Very good monitor for video and photo editing
This monitor has excellent color resolution, brightness, consistency across the entire screen and refresh rates. Very good for doing video and photo work/ upper end graphics. It also has a built in USB hub for 4 devices.
The one major weakness (and why it gets 4 instead of 5 stars) is its lack of support for HDMI, a format which will probably be more widely adapted in upper end video and photo work).
Rating: - Poor brightness consistency across LCD panel
The brightness at the top of the panel was much darker than the lower part of the panel. Kind of like a gradient from top to bottom.
ViewSonic replaced it with another, but it suffered the same problem. I returned both monitors.

I was interested in getting a monitor that had accurate color for photography. I am totally pleased and I love the size. I had a 17" before and this one seems so large. My pictures look great and they print out the same color. What else could I ask for. Very simple to set up. I haven't used all the fancy stuff like TV & all but I hope to.
I do recommend it for photography........

Un-boxed, plugged into the back of the mac, set monitor displays and the images are awesome! Price is right, very competitively priced compared to others. Highly recommend.
