Rating: - Worked for me
As others have mentioned these are DVD-R DL discs and if your drive doesn't support DL these will not work.
I had a heck of a time even finding DVD-R discs to begin with, so even with the other average reviews I decided to chance it and buy this.
So far all the Discs have worked fine for me, no glitches at all.
Rating: - Strange.
These discs are bad media. I would recommend you stick with verbatim. I'll be honest, I was lured in by the low cost. Verbatim is kind of pricy so I really would like a cheaper alternative but unfortunately, it remains the most consistent media out there. These Philip DL's are recognized by my Laptop. However, no burning software can successfully burn them for me. You get what you pay for with verbatim, you don't get what you pay for with philips. Your call, but I'd avoid this product.
Rating: - Very Good
I don't really know what the he*k the other guy is talking about. I got these discs to transfer HD video from my pana sd9 and these discs have been flawless so far. I just came back here to check the price, because its almost time to re-order and saw this review and thought I should put in my 2c. 40+ HD video discs and no complaints at all from this user.
I do wish that the price would come down... the DVD+R equivalent is much cheaper but doesn't work with my camera's software.
Rating: - Unworkable
Tried these disks in 4 seperate PCs running XP Home, XP Pro, Vista Home Premium. The firmware on all drives was updated to the newest versions. The burning software attempted included CloneDVD2, Roxio, windows built in burning software.
Not a single disk worked on any computer or was even recognized as recordable media.
