Editorial Review:

Product DescriptionGigaWorks T40 stereo speakers will fascinate you with their impressive audio delivery. Combining premium components with Creative's many years of leadership in world-class audio, each satellite delivers spacious, balanced sound, thanks to the potent combination of two high-performance midrange drivers and a dedicated high-end tweeter in MTM (midrange-tweeter-midrange) configuration, plus BasXPort technology for strong, dynamic bass without a subwoofer. The midrange drivers have woven glass fiber cones for warmth and stability, while each tweeter has a cloth dome for crystal clarity. Front mounted controls for power, volume, bass and treble, plus a versatile adaptor, made these speakers great partners for DVD players and televisions as well as PCs.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Fair
These are ok speakers but they can't come close to others that have a bass unit. I was given a Altec with a bass and was surprise to find the quality difference. Once you use the quality type you cant go back to the others...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great speakers!
After doing some research on speakers that were not too bulky I bought these for my home PowerMac, to listen to iTunes and such. They are great! A few weeks later I bought another pair to replace an again pair of generic speakers for my PC at work. Great value for the money!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Pretty dern good, for the size.
My four-star rating is an average between 4.5 stars for the physical package, which is solid, good-looking and relatively compact, and 3.5 stars for sound quality, which is pretty dern good but leaves a little to be desired.

Initially, I wasn't too happy with the sound coming out of these speakers, though it was wildly better than from the cheap Radio Shack speakers they replaced. The T40's sounded boxy, seemed deficient in the bass end, and a bit shrill in the high range. I went to ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - T40s PLUS T20s
For my birthday, I received a pair of T 20 speakers for my laptop and was blown away. I instantly got crazy and bought a pair of T40s and set the T20s on their sides on shelves up at head level and placed the T40s on either side of my laptop. TALK ABOUT FULL SOUND. Listening to some Pink Floyd on these guys combined and you feel like you are at the concert. Best sounding speakers ever and combining the T20s with T40s (if you have 2 headphone jacks) and instantly you feel surrounded in crystal clear ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Middle Of The Road Speaker NOT!
I've been in the sound business for a little over 40 years, so I had my doubts about this speaker. But it fills a large room with full spectrum sound. The bass is clean yet full. The mids and highs are full and crisp. The best for the price hands down.
