I bought these speakers for my MacBook because the built in speakers are not adequate for watching TV shows/movies (especially when more than one person is watching). The sound is surprisingly good and the volume is more than enough. The only problem I had (this may be related to the MacBook) is that the gradations of volume are too large; essentially, I have four volume levels unless I adjust the preamp settings on the EQ (the volume display shows more than this, but most of the middle settings ... Rating: - Get what you pay for...
These speakers have decent audio quality, and you cannot beat the price. However, the speakers I have tend to make a "popping" sound while playing music. It is faint, but noticeable, and irritating. Again, I would not expect them to be great for $11.00. Cannot say I am displeased with them for the price.
