Still haven't got mine to work. When I opened the box, the backing was not on right so I had to push it in to insert the HD. When connected to the computer, it makes a beep and says a USB thingy is plugged in but doesn't show up as a drive anywhere. Tried all my USB ports and even tried plugging in the 2nd one.
Too much of a hassle to return the product and pay for shipping again. It makes a fine cover for my HD....

I'm using the cradle for data recovery and any troubleshooting that may require accessing a user's hard drive without using their OS. For that, this device is great. It is small, portable, lightwight, and I don't need to install any software to use, just plug in and the HD appears in my list of drives. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the build construction seems a little on the flimsy side, but it should hold up if not subjected to abuse or strenuous use.
