I was really suprised when I bought this player. I thought it wasn't going to be as good as the real expensive brands, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. My 11 year old son wanted one of these for Christmas, and I thought it better to start with a cheaper one than an expensive one. I tried it out before I wrapped it and I liked it a lot. Rating:  - NOT MAC COMPATIBLE
I'm sure this product would have been awesome, but it was not mac compatible. I checked and it said it was, that's why I bought it, but it wasn't, so I had to return it.
Rating: - small and handy
this device is small and easy to use. the only thing i'd change is the way it's designed. the buttons are on the right side, but the earphones are also plugged in on the right. other than that, it's a great little player that's easy to carry around because it's so small and thin. i recommend this to anyone that's looking to buy a new music device.

I have had an Ipod Video and my Wife has the new Nano with video etc. and we recently purchased this player (SL version) for a friend based on price and the fact that it has FM Stereo.
We played with it for while and then bought one for ourselves, we are so impressed, the sound is fantastic, the whole interface is custamizable and the the battery life is some 36 hours!!!
