Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It works great
I wanted to start by saying that I was a little skeptical of extenders, probably because I remember the first generation 4 or 5 years ago and how they just didn't perform well and were a bear to setup and use. I bought this for my wife, who likes to watch tv in our bedroom and records a lot of shows on our Vista PC downstairs. The setup was easy and although we don't use it everyday, it works well and I'm suprised at the quality of the streamed video and audio. I was expecting some blockiness ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The value extender
The unit works well and is silent, which is a great advantage over the xbox when used as an extender. The price is right! on the downside, the menus are not as snappy as a Media center PC, or the xbox 360 - not deal breaker slow, but could be better.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Works for me!
I paired the DMA 2200 with a Linksys WRT610N wireless N Router. Setup was easy and Linksys recommends a wireless connection for best results. I have to say that I only use it for streaming TV shows and sports that I record with Media Center. So far I have had no problems with streaming High Definition football games from my outside antenna, or Standard Definition Programs off of cable. My PC is a P4 with two 320 gig SATA hard drives 2 gigs of ram and two Win TV Tuner Cards one is a Win TV HVR ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good but not Excellent
I linked my HP Media Center Computer to my large screen TV which is about 40 feet away in another room. The system is linked using a Linksys WRT160N router. The picture and sound are good but there is some break-up of the picture at times. I am now recording television at a higher quality setting and this seems to help.

The only problem I had with installation was getting the extender to stay linked. I am using NORTON Internet Security and this seemed to be the problem. Once I added ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good, but not great
I got this because I wanted a way to stream my music from my vista PC to my living room system.

It works as advertised and will give you the MCE interface. However, unless you have a wired network or a Wifi N (operating at N speeds), do not buy this. Initially, I tried a setup where I wired the extender to my router and my PC was using wifi (g), but that wouldn't work very well. A song would start and stop half way through. After tinkering with my wifi settings and eliminating wifi-b ... Read More
