This 500 GB external hard drive is excellent for those with limited computer knowledge. I was up and running within ten minutes and found it extremely simple to connect. Moving data from my desk top hard drive to the external hard drive was very simple. It takes up very little space which is a good thing for anyone with a messy desk top like mine. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought this to use with Time Machine on MAC Leopard.
Having read about other drives and their performance, I chose this as it was a nice compromise. The ones with Firewire 800 ports were a steep jump in price and I did not need this extra performance for my normal "home use".
Its very well built and "Made in Japan" which is always a plus when buying electronic items.
