I bought this unit for my first home theater setup, though I don't have any other subwoofer experience to compare to, I'd say this is a great unit. It looks pretty nice and it's really powerful, I only used it as indicated by the manual (turning it to 11 o'clock), certainly not even near its full potential, still when I tried TLOR DVD, my house is shaking! It certainly adds to all the fun of watching a great movie. And the price at Onecall, great!

I bought this subwoofer when upgrading my Spherex Xbox 5.1 Surround System. I paired this subwoofer up with a Onkyo TX-SR806 and Klipsch Quintet III speakers.
The subwoofer, although heavy, has a fantastic design. I personally believe that it's a very designer look to it. Also with the ability to change the color of the grille (at a cost), it's also a welcomed addition.
