Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Brother PT-2100
We use this label maker at work and so far it's been a reliable workhorse. I see no problem with the quality of the output text - it is clear and sharp and evenly spaced and aligned. This labeler has text and margin setting that you can adjust so that you don't waste tape. The result is a label that has no extra lead in out or lead out excess tape and your labels are centered perfectly. It prints up to 3 lines and it includes the AC adapter which is a big plus. I reserved the 5th star since I have ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - LCD Screen Is Unreadable
This is my third Brother P-touch labeler; I also have a QL-500. The particular model in question is a PT-2100. This is the second unit of the PT-2100 I purchased, the first unit was purchased last week and I sent it back.
I returned it because I could not read the screen. I plugged the unit in via AC power; to see the image on the screen it was necessary to pick up the unit and tilt it in such a way to read what it said. Can you imagine the difficulty typing while holding the unit at an angle ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Easy to use
I have wanted a labeling device for some time and always thought of them as plastic strips with pressed letters. These labels are great and so easy to make. I choose this one as it comes with an ac adapter which is about another $30 dollars for the ones without. At $45 it was less than a $20 labeler plus adpater. As other reviewers state, the machine is the cheap part, the tape is the expensive part. Check the cutting settings so you don't waste tape. I have not used the software that comes with this ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Tool
Brother PT-2100 PC-Connectable Labeling System with AC adapter What a great purchase. I am in the process of sorting & labeling everything that has gathered in my garage for a number of years. This labeler is easy to use and I have had no problems as yet with it. I had 2 old hand labelers that just were too much hassle to use. I just take my PT-2100 to the garage with me,plug it in,and I am ready to roll.A must-have for organizing.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not So Good Label Maker
Having trouble with the Brother label maker software to print on my PC computer, I had called Brother tech supports several times but they asked me to reinstall the print driver. After the reinstallation, it's still refused to print. The computer said it refused to print because there was not enough spool to print the document. Tech service said he would contact me on the phone to help me out, but he never did. After a long troubleshooting the program software, I finally figured it out. The quality of the ...
