We bought this scanner 2 months ago for archiving 20+ years of newspaper back issues, some of which are in bound volumes. It has worked continuously 6 hours a day since purchase, and we have been thrilled with the quality, speed and output. The .pdfs are completely searchable, and the graphics are very clean. It's a workhorse disguised as a scanner! Don't be afraid to play with the settings to get the quality you want.
