I am using Puppy Linux 4.1 as my Internet surfing OS for my laptop. My Synaptics touchpad tapping functions do not work unless I use version 4.1.1, but that is slower and connection to the Internet requires more steps, as well as having more problems connecting. I wanted an optical mouse to spare the "mouse" buttons on my touchpad from overuse. This mouse fired right up and was immediately recognized by Puppy 4.1. I absolutely LOVE this mouse, I bought it at Best Buy for 20 bucks, and feel kinda screwed to see how cheap I could have gotten it here, but oh well, it was worth the money. As you can see, it is a very simple and cheap mouse, the buttons click very well and it glides on my desk just fine without a mouse pad. I didn't actually buy one from amazon (got it at best buy), but it's exactly the same thing. I've had it for about 6-7 months and so far I don't have a single complaint about it. Its design and shape are perfect not to mention the BACK and FOWARD buttons on the sides that make life easier when navigating web pages. LOVE IT!
