I immediately fell in love with this tablet. It's the third one that I have owned over the past several years, but it's my first Wacom product and is by far the BEST of the three. The software alone made it worth the price. It came with the Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, Corel Painter Essentials and Nix Color Efex Pro. I'm a first time tablet user so I can't really compare it with similar products; but i can say that its great to work with. I've using it for about 2 weeks now, mostly for retouching photos in CS3 and digital art in Corel draw.
I takes some getting used to coming from the usual mouse setup, but once you get the hang of it you wouldn't want to go back.
Oh, the medium tablet also comes with free software: Photoshop Elements and Corel Painter Essentials. Both great software.

you have to work with it for a little while before it feels natural or your hand writing looks natural, but once you get the hang of it...It's incredible. I scrapbook and wanted to be able to include my handwriting on my pictures. works better than I expected.

This is a very good tablet and I use the mouse that came with it all the time. Better than the mouse I had. The pen is a little hard to get use to but I'm sure it will be good too. Just need a little practice.
