Yes this product is worthwhile. I got it with the XBL/PGR 4 package. Because of the chat pad it'll no longer take 10 mins to typing messages, redemption codes, etc. the buttons are a lil' harder than a typical keyboard and that's a good thing, because you won't have to worry about accidentally pressing a button. also, they light up which is cool. it adds a lil' bit of weight to the controller but i leave mine attached to my controller because it doesn't bother me when i play games.

I bought this because I hate how slow the xbox dashboard types text. This completely alleviates the lag and frustration when sending someone a message or typing in your name. It's small and light too so you dont really notice it that much on the controller. For the price, why not?

Everyone should get this device because it makes chatting and texting on the xbox so much easier. The seller was great, listed as I bought it.

The messaging pad's a huge upgrade from manually selecting letters from a console. It's also great because when you snap it into your controller it doesn't alter the way you hold it or really take up any amount of space.
The down-side is that if you're used to blazing through text on a keyboard, you're not going to be able to touch-type. So if you plan on playing with the lights off you're probably going to be a little frustrated when you send messages.
