Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Dont Waste Your Money!
Have had to replace them. The replacement done the same. Checked the wiring, found no problem, they run really hot leaving one malfunctioning again!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - D-Link Power Line Adapter
If you don't want to use wi-fi or can't for any reason, this is a great alternative. As you long as you have an electrical outlet, you have an internet connection. The only limit is the length of your cable.

I have been generally pleased with D-link products, but this thing is a disaster! I struggled for weeks with these D-link Powerline devices. They were difficult to configure and failed within days of being put into service. I returned the first pair for repair/exchange and purchased another pair...that pair failed as well!! D-link technical support was un-sympathetic and not very helpful. I gave up on the D-Link and purchased the Panasonic BL-PA100KTA...what a difference!! The were configured out ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It works fine as a wireless substitute.
My friend was having continuous problems keeping her PC connected to our wireless network and her ability to hose the system exceeded my ability to repair it. This product solved our issues. It worked great and the throughput allows her web access without a problem.

I've never tried to test the throughput rate but it feels much faster than our 802.11G connection that she used to use. If you just want to hook up PC's from anywhere in the house this product works great. The only tricky ... Read More

Clean? Fairly (not too many wires)
Easy to set up? Check.
Quick to set up? Check.
Ethernet over your power line? Not exactly... ok, not even close.

The materials indicate that this product is for streaming HD content across a network. What I found was that the throughput on this product, at least in my house, was less than an 802.11b wireless connection.

I had two ... Read More
