Product DescriptionUltra uses a TEC thermo-electric cooler, between two copper plates, each plate with four heat-pipes leading to a large, fan-cooled radiator. The Chill-TEC's control unit does not apply power to the TEC unless the CPU reaches a certain temperature. Up to this point, the CPU is cooled by the heat-pipes on the Cold side of the TEC. Once the CPU is hot, power is applied to the TEC and the CPU is chilled. The hot side of the TEC is cooled by the second set of heat-pipes. This perfect balance of thermo-electric cooling and heat-pipe cooling ensures the CPU is kept at the perfect operating temperature. Excellent cooler bit high on price but far better than most (Highest end) aircool units that can run nearly as much
very quiet, very low maintenance, easy to keep free of dust and the like
nice interface on the display, bright good looking blue LED in my antec 1200 it looks fantastic although on that case the side panel fan does have to come off (can be replaced or modified to fit if you want it - thought you wont need it)

This thing fills up most of my upper case. It work's well keeps my 2.33 duel core intel at 77-83 F. It's the seize of 4 erubix cubs.
Rating: - Great little item
Bought this to use for my CPU. I've heard of Thermal Electric Cooling before, it was never widely adopted as water cooling was. Neither one was really affordable if you bought it years ago, most was homemade. Technology has come a long ways and this little beauty is well worth it if you don't want to risk water cooling, but need to do something about CPU heat. It's heavy, and you also need case space since it's tall, but will save a lot of grief later on. You can fabricate and attach a bracket to ... Read More
Rating: - Good CPU Cooler, terrible seller
I bought this product to cool my Q6600 Quad Core which was having insanely high temperatures mainly due to the fact that I live in the Caribbean and it has a high ambient temperatures. The cooler arrived with the cooler box protected by padding which was inside a shipping box as expected. The product box itself was intact and not visibly damaged and I expected the contents to be the same. On inspection I say that the fins for the heat sink were bent and dinged in several places and could not have ... Read More

This is the cooler for you. It keeps my Quad Core system around the 22-29C even at full load. I have 8 gigs of ram so you can imagine what kind of full load would bear.
It really is quiet, I can't hear it at all. It also lights up blue which for my current system is a bonus as everything else does as well.
When I make another system it will be Ultra products all the way. (Also have the X3 for my PSU).
