I bought this for a trip to Europe. I really only needed one (VS 3) of the plugs (EU plug). The individual plugs feel a little fragile.
You may want to consider just buying the individual plug you need vs a big kit. I would also recommend bringing two plug adaptors on the trip with you. If you are charging camera batteries, cell phones, ipods, etc. Then you will most likely want to charge two at the same time.

I am not sure about Japan or UK, but in the Netherlands it allowed the 3rd prong of my US cord to contact their ground and worked great. Otherwise is a clever little holder arangement (but I only take what I need because I know where I am going). Please note that it is a plug adapter only (NOT a voltage converter).

Worked as advertised - the challenge is in countries like Italy where they use 2 different outlet designs - this adapter includes the 2 pin version and leaves out the 3 pin version. Had to get another adapter while in Italy to make things work.

I used this adapter traveling from the USA to England for my laptop computer, and it worked very well. Instructions are included clearly explaining which plug goes with which country. I found trying to fit a USA male plug into the female adapter a little difficult but was able to get it in eventually. Thus, four stars instead of five.
Rating: - This adapter is NOT grounded
It looks fine for a non grounded adapter set. I only took it out of the packaging though and didn't actually use it. The lack of grounding is not shown on the page description or on the packaging.
