Rating:  - doesn't work with new ipods
The sound is great but it doesn't work with the new nanos (the chrome looking ones). I think they are 6th generation? not sure. To be honest I don't know the difference between a nano and a mini. At any rate, it still plays music from the ipod but won't charge it for you, which was really the main reason i bought it. i already opened it so can't return it, i bought a plug in adaptor and will keep this to use as a speaker for the apartment, and the sound quality is a++ but i'm disappointed. why in ... This is an excellent item for the price and size. The only down side is no ability to adjust volume on the base of the machine.

I highly reccomend the JBL on stage II. this is probably the best deal available for big sound out of your ipod. yes I know you read reviews about bose and some of the other bigger speakers systems but lets face it they are pretty good money for one of those systems. do they sound better? I have listened to all of them and I have been an audiophile for at least three decades, and yes they do sound better to a degree. but I ask you is that degree worth another $100 -300?? this JBL produces room filling ... Rating: - My IPOD not longer freezes.
I purchased an ILIVE boombox radio, IPOD docking station device. Shortly thereafter I noticed that my IPOD would freeze, causing the need to drain and recharge. I thought the issue was related to my IPOD, so I inquired with Apple. I followed their instructions and still had this problem. My daughter had stayed with me for awhile and during her stay she began using her IPOD in the ILIVE boombox. Shortly there after she too experienced her first IPOD freeze. Rating: - For the size and price....
.. this thing provides a really nice big sound for my ipod. I use it next to my computer office area to enjoy my favorite tunes. It also acts as an ipod recharger. It isn't complex... it has no radio attached... but does what it was designed to do.
